Kristian Lundberg nominated for Best Crime Novel of the Year Award

Our marvellous crime-writer Kristian Lundberg is shortlisted for the Swedish Crime Writers' Academy Award for Best Crime Novel of the Year. This is something that stands out in Swedish literature today and the largest Swedish newspaper wrote: ”In less than 200 pages he manages to make an analysis of society that is more intelligent than the one the whole corps of Swedish crime novelists have been producing for more than ten years.”

A new season is here!

The past year has been full of wonderful deals and new authors joining the agency. The personal inspirer and film-maker Kay Pollak whose books have sold almost half a million copies in Sweden has now been sold to a number of countries. In Germany, Random House’s Südwest Verlag made his book No Chance Encounters their lead title this spring.

Marie Hermanson continues to find new markets  – now sold to eleven countries and with fantastic three-book-deals in Sweden and Germany.

We think we have discovered something really spectacular in Andreas Roman whose book Afraid of the Dark will be published by Natur & Kultur next year.

The amazing crime-writer Kristian Lundberg will from now on be published by Henning Mankell’s Leopard förlag and Kristian’s project is something of the most interesting that has occured on the Swedish crime-fiction market the past years. One more book to go before the series is complete!

A number of new authors have joined the agency and will be introduced here in greater depth soon. We welcome Cilla Naumann (what a fantastic book you have written, Cilla!), Unni Drougge (coming with a very brave book in September), Gabriella Håkansson (five years between each book but it has been worth waiting), and Marcus Birro (who I just had lunch with in Norrköping to plan the next book).

We look forward to a very interesting autumn season!

P.S. Also be on the look-out for Linda Olsson's new manuscript that we will submit before the fairs. Her latest book has been on the bestseller lists in Sweden, USA and New Zealand.
